About GTHS

We believe in "living green" and do all we can to help with global warming.  We compost, recycle, grow organically, reuse our packing material, and purchase as much as possible of recycled products. Our shipping boxes might not look so great but they have been reused or saved from the landfill.  We have had passive solar heat for over 20 years, and use sustainable heat.  (We cut our own wood from our woodlots and burn pellets produced in the North Country.) Join us!  Let’s all go green and reduce our carbon footprint!

Our home is nestled against the scenic Tug Hill to the west, and the Adirondack foothills to the east.

We live quietly (as possible with two boys and grand kids around) on over 90 acres of land where we grow and harvest herbs, etc. Our area is in the "Snowbelt of the Snowbelt" receiving the most snowfall east of the Rockies with an average of at least 230 inches per year.

Bringing home the Christmas Tree!

Lots of wildlife visitors!
